Ingrid has requested a block with a real first name - hello Gretchen

I have to block this one - English - instructions found which is quite detailed. Anyone who maybe a "2 Opinion, want ", can look for commands there ;-))

Ingrid wants the following colors: blue flowers fabric, one dark, one bright light in this matter please do not use white-ground material - eggshell-colored, beige is ok. The picture shows the fabrics I have used. From each of these substances
cut a square, one each in 14.5 cm and 6.5 cm in a
Finished block size should be 16.5 cm

The two large squares (14.5 cm ) of the installation, right, mark on the bright square of one of the diagonal with a pencil. Sew along this line with seam allowance 2x.
then "on" the pencil line with the cutter cut =>

is two squares, seam allowance toward the dark fabric iron.

The two small squares (6.5 cm) each divide 1x diagonal.

The next step, please check again just to the photo. Each two equal triangles have to be sewn to one of the great stitched squares - Look at the picture, it's clear how to do that ;-))

Cut the now formed entity - as in the next image by the laid-square indicated. Ingrid writes in her guide, who is now emerging contrast stripes should have a finished width of 3 cm . Since I am using the inch seam allowance, I had just sewn by the small triangles cut something. The cut triangles are left!

Now sew together just yet - and you're done ;-))

Notes inch dressmakers
first Connie has kindly provided the measurements for the Log Cabin Gretchen ladies available - this would be the big square 6 7 / 8 and the small 3 7 / 8. I've measured it's for the big square - that's not true consistent with the cm-data. So I have actually cut cm.
second I have sewn with the inch seam allowance. When cutting off the surplus triangle was the degree to which I've used 1 3 / 8.
third My block is a bit too large - but I have not cut down to 16.5 cm. This is - at least that's my opinion - Ingrid later take over, because if they all blocks themselves cope cuts,'s will fit behind certainly better than having different people with different cut rulers.
